What is the affiliation program?

The Fotolia affiliation program is a web based system that enables members to promote Fotolia to their friends, family, clients, associates, etc. and earn rewards from new member purchases. When you refer a new member via this program and the new member makes a purchase on Fotolia we will automatically deposit a reward into your Fotolia account (without any effort on the photographer’s commission). If your affiliate subscribes to the Fotolia Subscription, you will receive 20 Credits for this affiliation.

Characteristics of the program

You receive:

  • Affiliation commission = 15 % of net*

*Affiliate commission is calculated as (sales price – photographer commission) x 15%

Can anyone join the affiliate program?

Everyone can profit from the affiliate program. It does not matter if you are a professional photographer or private user, anyone can recommend new members to join Fotolia. We provide several tools to help you promote Fotolia, just choose which one works best for you.

How do I get started?

To profit from the Fotolia Affiliation Program you need to follow the following instructions:

  • Create a free account on Fotolia.com
  • Log into your account and click on the affiliation link
  • Choose a button, link, banner, or URL, that fits your needs.

Once the new member account has been validated they become your new affiliate allowing you to receive rewards from their purchases.


Affiliation example

Mr. Smith refers Mr. Jones and Mr. Green to Fotolia. Mr. Jones buys 3 images at 10 Credits each for a total of 30 Credits. Mr Green subscribes to the Fotolia Subscription program.


The commission paid to the photographers are 12 Credits (40%)


The affiliation commission is calculated as such (30 Credits – 12 Credits) X 15%


Mr. Smith will receive 2.7 Credits as affiliation commission for Mr. Jones purchases. Mr. Smith may cash out his commission at any time.

Mr. Smith also earns 20 Credits for the Subscription of Mr. Green. Mr. Smith may cash out his commission at any time.
